Dr. Maureen's career path showcases a fascinating journey through veterinary medicine. After graduating, she honed her skills in surgery and sports medicine, even achieving board certification. However, her passion extended beyond the operating room, leading her to explore veterinary acupuncture. Recognizing a critical need for improved communication in animal care, Dr. Maureen founded AcuroVet, a cloud-based veterinary software  empowering veterinary practices worldwide.

AcuroVet® Celebrates Ten Years!

Over ten years ago, Dr. Maureen Kelleher, an equine acupuncturist, struggled with inadequate record-keeping software.Maintaining easily understandable medical notes was next to impossible. The notes were hard-to-decipher written abbreviations that were extremely limited in their educational value to clients.Dr. Maureen began exploring ways to visually record acupuncture points directly on equine images. This led to partnering with a technology expert who developed the breakthrough app. Her wish for visual documentation became a reality!

The early days

The good news spread fast, and interest grew. AcuroVet® expanded the app’s capabilities to include chiropractic, invoicing, and general veterinary medicine support.Additionally, <a href="https://acurovet.com/acuro-pet" target="_blank"> AcuroPetTM</a>, a free complementary app for pet owners, integrates with AcuroVet® so clients can interact with their veterinarian hassle-free.Ten years later, AcuroVet® has evolved into a comprehensive practice management solution that can respond to the diverse global needs of veterinary professionals.And our evolution continues!Our ambitious plans include leveraging technology to improve efficiency and communication in veterinary practice further.Advanced analytics and integrations with cutting-edge medical devices are examples of upcoming features that will strengthen veterinary medicine’s ability to provide superior patient care.
