Dr. Maureen's career path showcases a fascinating journey through veterinary medicine. After graduating, she honed her skills in surgery and sports medicine, even achieving board certification. However, her passion extended beyond the operating room, leading her to explore veterinary acupuncture. Recognizing a critical need for improved communication in animal care, Dr. Maureen founded AcuroVet, a cloud-based veterinary software  empowering veterinary practices worldwide.

The ride continues. &nbsp;In my last blog, I told you of my adventure to create a solution to help acupuncture veterinarians capture medical notes. &nbsp;As we grew our little project, people said “what about XYZ???” I heard people say “What about chiropractic? How about rehabilitation therapies? &nbsp;Can I use this for my regular (non-holistic) appointments?” Veterinarians wanted images of, well, everything! Chiropractic skeletons, dental images, skin maps, the list goes on and on! &nbsp;	At first, Acuro was committed to the holistic veterinary market. &nbsp;We added some fields for laser therapies, homeopathy and the like. &nbsp;But some of the requests were for more integration… &nbsp;for the veterinarians who don’t just focus on holistic modalities. &nbsp;Acuro reached a fork in the road - do we go left and stick with our small niche or do we go right and EXPAND our offerings???	We saw the world of technology changing around us and so we decided to go right… Investigating leading edge human EMRs (electronic medical records) and AI (artifiecial intelligence.) &nbsp;Armed with this knowledge and looking into the future, we built a frame work on which to build a DIFFERENT approach to veterinary medical records.	Now we are a turtle moving carefully and thoughtfully through the ever changing world of technology… our first goal is to bring affordable, visual, modern technology to the smaller veterinary practice thus Acuro became AcuroVet&reg;. &nbsp;My little light-bulb idea progressed from solving one veterinarian’s small little issue to solving many problems for many, many veterinarians! &nbsp;	My ride has been full of adventure thus far and I hope you will join me on it! &nbsp;I would love to hear about YOUR journey.
